Our number one goal in navigating through the impact of COVID 19 is the health, safety and well being of our team and that of our community. With that in mind, we are also very focused on supporting our customers needs, while managing risk and minimizing disruptions.

The state of California has been under a statewide stay at home order starting midnight on March 19, 2020. Our customers will have minimal to zero impact as we provide full support to an array of manufactures that are an essential part in combating the coronavirus. Currently, there are no delays in our product being manufactured or shipped to us and our shipping schedule will be uninterrupted. We are currently exempt from state stay at home orders under the federal government guidance for sectors that are vital to the United States (https://www.cisa.gov/identifying-critical-infrastructure-during-covid-19) as we support the healthcare, national defense, vital infrastructure, energy, transportation and other critical manufacturing, material and service sectors.

Our team is here to answer any questions you may have related to engineering and design needs, existing and/or new order price and delivery questions. We will do our best to assist you with any inquiries may have.

RoHS Compliant

What is RoHS?

The RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, and impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well. This directive forbids the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of the following:

  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Cadmium
  • Hexavalent Chromium
  • Polybrominated Biphenyl
  • Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers
  • Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
  • Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
  •

Manufacturers need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive to ensure that their products, and their components, comply.

When did RoHS/RoHS2/RoHS3 come into force?

The original RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union in 2002 and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market since July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance.

Directive 2011/65/EU was published in 2011 by the EU, which is known as RoHS-Recast or RoHS 2. RoHS 2 includes a CE-marking directive, with RoHS compliance now being required for CE marking of products. RoHS 2 also added Categories 8 and 9, and has additional compliance recordkeeping requirements.

Directive 2015/863 was published in 2015 by the EU, which is known as RoHS 3. RoHS 3 adds four additional restricted substances (phthalates) to the list of six.
